We are sitting in the Auckland Airport taking advantage of 30 minutes of FREE wifi! Our flight leaves in about 2 hours back to the states. We all have mixed emotions about leaving, excited to be going home to see friends and of course Gidget our dog, but sad that our holiday is coming to a close and that we didn't get to everything we wanted to see during our month here.
The last couple of days were spent on the Coromandel Peninsula at Hahei Beach and then a curvy, twisty, narrow road drive over and down to Thames for our last night here. We enjoyed white sand beaches, awe inspiring views, aquamarine water and very yummy fish and chips for one last time.
Since my time is short, I will upload a few pictures and then once we return to the states have everyone post their favorite memories, activities, and places from our trip. Cheers!

Cathedral Cove: scene of Narnia movie, Prince Caspian. |

Cathedral Cove, huge chunk of limestone! |

Black sand beach, west coast of North Island. |

The headland hike above the fur seal colony in Kaikoura. A big fat sleeping seal blocked the trail on the waterside hike so we had to hike up and around him. |

Mt. Cook late in the day. |

Breaking the vegetarian habit, unbelievably good cheeseburgers at Fergburgers in Queenstown. Yum! |

Hahei Beach on the Coronmandel Peninsula. We stayed here for 2 nights! |
