BUFFET

The best way to finish hiking 33.5 miles is to go on a cruise with a buffet. Take it from me. After the Milford Track, we went on an overnight cruise in Milford Sound (it's not actually a sound, it's a fiord.)

Before we got on the boat, they took our photo, which was pretty horrible because we didn't shower in four days. Once we got on the boat, we got FREE MUFFINS!!!YAY!!!! If you think muffins are ugly cupcakes and they don't taste good, you should have tried those because they were AMAZING!!!!

Once I had about seven muffins, we went sea kayaking in a little bay. It was cool except for the part that you would get eaten by sandflies if you stopped for two seconds. We didn't stay out long. Partially because I really wanted to eat at the buffet soon. Partially because the sandflies were evil.

After that, we had dinner at the BUFFET!!!! It was reeeeeeeaaaallllyyy good because all that we had to eat on the track was pasta and noodles. I tried some lamb too. It was okay, though I felt kinda bad eating a little baby sheep. Then there was the DESSERT BAR which was also reeeeeaaaallllyyyy good because I like dessert a whole lot.

One of the best parts about the cruise was the slideshow by the naturalist. It was SO funny. There were two funny videos that were a part of his slide show.  The first one he said was filmed on the ship, but no animals were harmed during the making of the video, check it out here, we laughed so hard!  Funny Mouse Video  The second video he said was filmed while guests were kayaking in Milford Sound (actually they weren't, but it's funny.  Kayaker being crushed by whale

In the morning, we went around the sound a bit. We saw lots of fur seals that were really cute and one of those ginormous cruise ships that come from Australia. Then we spent like, five hours waiting for the shuttle which was very boring.
