New Zealand 2013

The idea for this trip began in January 2012 while reading a Backpacker Magazine which featured a story about trekking in New Zealand.  One of the treks featured scenes from the movie, "The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe" that instantly got the girls attention.  "Can we go there?"  Why not.

After months of trying to determine when to travel and trying to make sure this trip during a school year was possible, the green lights were on. As of right now, our plane tickets are bought, the Milford Trek is booked, our van deposit has gone through and we are busy putting the rest of the details together.

Our departure date is Sunday, February 24, 2013.  Only 5 weeks from tomorrow.

1. Milford Trek
2. West Coast of SI
3. Able Tasman sea kayaking/hike
4. Visit movie sites from Narnia and Lord of the Rings
5. Do some dayhikes in a numerous regions
6. Stay on a sheep ranch
7. Visit a bunch of National Parks
8.  Try to fit in one more of the Great Walks
9. Visit sites from our previous trip in 1993
